Dear Mustang Families and Guardians,
We have several important updates and opportunities for you and your students this week! Please take a moment to review the information below and get involved where you can:
A Special Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Open House! It was a pleasure to spend time with you, and we truly appreciate your support and engagement with our school community.
Family and Guardian Survey
We value your input as we begin our five-year strategic planning process. Please take a few minutes to complete the Family and Guardian Survey here. Your feedback will help shape the future of our school community!
Study Group
Every Tuesday, Ms. Nakae hosts a study group from 3:05 pm to 4:15 pm. This is a great opportunity for students to collaborate on their work in a supportive environment. All are welcome!
Academic Boot Camp
Need extra help with assignments or a quiet space to focus? Join Ms. River Nystrom in her Spanish room on Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This is also a great chance for students needing help with their Spanish assignments.
Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
Mark your calendars for conferences on October 23 and 24. If you would like to ensure you’re scheduled for a conference, feel free to call the office. Letters with your scheduled time will be mailed next week.
Safety Drills
This month, we’ve focused on safety by practicing evacuation drills. K-2 students learned how to safely evacuate from a school bus, and all students participated in a fire drill, safely exiting the building. These drills are part of our Emergency Operating Plan development to ensure everyone knows what to do in an emergency.
Backpack for Kids
We’re partnering with Backpack for Kids to provide weekend food bags for families in need. If you’d like to be added to our confidential list, please email me at w.beldin@tlschool.net. The bags are delivered every Friday, and we can arrange for your student to take them home or for you to pick them up—just let me know which you prefer.
October: National Bullying Prevention Month
October is National Stop Bullying and Cyberbullying Month. Let’s STOMP out bullying together! We encourage students to spread kindness throughout the school. Challenge your friends and classmates to perform acts of kindness, and feel free to make a video of these moments. Submit your video, and we’ll proudly showcase it on our school website!
Thank you for your continued support! As always, please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Warmly,
Wendy Beldin
Principal
