Dear TLSD Families,

Field Day on Friday was a tremendous success! Students enjoyed a day filled with activities, friendly competition, and time together as a school community. A special thank you to our seniors, who spent part of their final week giving back by helping organize and lead activities for our younger students. We are also grateful to Superintendent Jerry Lewis, who kept everyone well fed from behind the grill during our family barbecue. Thank you to Timmy Waller, staff, volunteers, and families who helped make the day such a memorable event. 

Our seniors departed today for their Senior Trip with advisor Heidi Crow and several parent chaperones. They will return on Wednesday, June 10. Friday marked their final regular day of classes.

As we approach the end of the school year, we have several celebrations ahead:

Campus Information

You may notice members of the U.S. Forest Service on campus on Thursday, June 11, from 9:00–10:00 AM. They will be conducting their annual Pack Test on our track.

PTO Leadership Transition

I would also like to recognize and thank Simone and Sarah for their outstanding leadership as PTO Co-Chairs. Their dedication, creativity, and countless hours of service have made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and families. We are grateful for all they have done to strengthen our school community.

As they step away from their PTO leadership roles next year, we will be looking for volunteers interested in helping plan student recognition events and staff appreciation activities. If you would like to learn more or are interested in helping, please contact me.

End-of-Year Reminders

The last day of school is Friday, June 12, with dismissal at 11:00 AM.

Before the end of the school year, please help your student:

  • Return all library books
  • Return textbooks
  • Return Chromebooks and chargers
  • Pay any outstanding lunch balances, fines, or fees

Thank you for your continued support throughout the school year. We look forward to celebrating our students during this exciting final week.

Estimadas familias de TLSD:

¡El Día de Campo del viernes fue todo un éxito! Los estudiantes disfrutaron de un día lleno de actividades, competencia amistosa y tiempo compartido como comunidad escolar. Un agradecimiento especial a nuestros estudiantes de último año, quienes dedicaron parte de su última semana de clases a apoyar y dirigir actividades para nuestros estudiantes más pequeños. También estamos agradecidos con el Superintendente Jerry Lewis, quien estuvo a cargo de la parrilla durante nuestra barbacoa familiar. Gracias a Timmy Waller, al personal, a los voluntarios y a las familias que ayudaron a hacer de este día una experiencia tan especial. Nuestros estudiantes de último año partieron hoy para su Viaje de Graduación junto con su asesora, Heidi Crow, y varios padres acompañantes. Regresarán el miércoles 10 de junio. El viernes fue su último día regular de clases.

Es posible que vean personal del Servicio Forestal de los Estados Unidos en nuestro campus el jueves 11 de junio, de 9:00 a 10:00 a. m. Ellos estarán realizando su prueba física conocida como Pack Test en nuestra pista.

Transición de Liderazgo del PTO

También quisiera reconocer y agradecer a Simone y Sarah por su extraordinario liderazgo como copresidentas del PTO. Su dedicación, creatividad e innumerables horas de servicio han tenido un impacto duradero en nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias. Estamos profundamente agradecidos por todo lo que han hecho para fortalecer nuestra comunidad escolar.

Al dejar sus funciones de liderazgo el próximo año, estaremos buscando voluntarios interesados en ayudar a planificar eventos de reconocimiento estudiantil y actividades de agradecimiento al personal. Si desea obtener más información o está interesado en participar, por favor comuníquese conmigo.

Recordatorios de Fin de Año

El último día de clases será el viernes 12 de junio, con salida a las 11:00 a. m.

Antes de que termine el año escolar, por favor ayude a su estudiante a:

  • Devolver todos los libros de la biblioteca.
  • Devolver los libros de texto.
  • Devolver las Chromebooks y sus cargadores.
  • Pagar cualquier saldo pendiente de almuerzo, multas o cuotas.
