Dr. Lewis, Superintendent

Trout Lake Families and Community,

I have submitted my resignation as superintendent effective June 30, 2026. This has
been a very challenging time for me physically. I have had 5 surgical procedures so far
and I still need to have two more in March. After 30 years in education and serving as a
superintendent for 17 of those years, it is time for me to fully retire.

I am very grateful for my career in education and to have had the opportunity to finish
my work in the Trout Lake School District. This is a special school with a rich history of
supporting and providing a quality education for our students. We have a very dedicated
and talented staff and a wonderful school board that I have had the opportunity to work
with.

This has been a very difficult decision because I have had so many wonderful
experiences and memories throughout my career in education that I will always cherish.
The work in education is both challenging and rewarding, but is so important for the
future of our country and communities.

The school board is working on the process to advertise for a new part-time
superintendent and I am hopeful they will find a qualified candidate. Again, I thank the
school board, staff, families, and community for the opportunity I had to serve as your
superintendent. Go Mustangs!
