Staffing Updates for 2022 - 2023
I would like to take the opportunity to let you know about some staffing updates at the Trout Lake School District.
Dr. Jerry Lewis will be joining the Trout Lake School District as the incoming part-time superintendent. Previous to being hired at Trout Lake, Dr. Lewis has served in various capacities in the White Salmon School District since 1997 with his most recent position being superintendent. Dr. Lewis received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Education (CTE) from Central Washington University. He received his Master’s in Educational Technology from City University and his Educational Doctorate in K-12 Teaching and Leadership from Walden University.
Matt Ihle is joining Trout Lake as the incoming principal. Matt’s most recent school experience is serving as a bilingual instructional assistant in the Hood River School District. Previous to being in Hood River as an instructional assistant, Matt served as principal of the American School of Belo Horizonte, the International School of Florence, the George Washington Academy in Morocco, the North Wasco County School District, and the Hood River County School District. Matt has a Bachelor’s of Arts with a major in social science and a minor in math from Pacific Lutheran University. He has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin.
Megan Anderson will serve as the fifth grade teacher next year. Last year, Megan was teaching fifth grade at Horizon Christian School in Hood River. Megan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies Elementary Education with a concentration on biology and a minor in biblical and theological studies from Biola University. She also has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Liberty University.
Jessica Hoff will be serving as the Spanish/English Language Development teacher for grades K-12. Jessica has served as a Spanish teacher in the Mill A and White Salmon School Districts as well as teaching Spanish online. Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish education, an anthropology minor, and a teaching English as a second language and bilingual education minor from Central Washington University.
Crystal Lanz will be serving as the second grade teacher for the 22-23 school year. Crystal has served as the principal and superintendent of the Trout Lake School District for the past seven years. Crystal’s teaching experiences prior to serving as principal/superintendent were teaching first and third grade for fifteen years. Crystal has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana and a Master of Arts degree in Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University.
