Hi! My name is Doug Dearden and Trout Lake School is a great place for students. I am excited about beginning my 43rd year of education and excited to be teaching middle school history. In 2022-23, this includes World History and Geography for both 6th and 7th grade, and Washington State History for 8th grade. In our World History Course, the students will be covering Geography, Ancient Rome, Europe during the Middle Ages, Africa, China and Japan, and The Middle East. Washington History the focus will be on learning about Washington State's unique history and its place in our global society. I look forward to working with my students and helping history to come ALIVE for them!
